A Guidebook for Foreigners Living in Chengdu

What attracts you most when you just go to know Chengdu? Your answers may range from cute pandas, tasty and spicy food to its over 2,300 years’ history. Here in this city, you may notice that it is more colorful than you have imaged. In addition to pleasant living environment, diverse range of tantalizing food, abundant tourism resources, the pace of internationalization and modernization is reshaping your perspective about this city as well as your daily life.

By June 2016, the number of foreign nationals residing in Chengdu nearly hit 20,000. A continuous steam of visitors and business persons come to Chengdu on a daily basis. To make all foreign friends feel at home during your stay in Chengdu, “Home in Chengdu” program for foreign nationals has been kicked off, which also explains why this guidebook comes into being.
