Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games Starts 200-day Countdown

On January 30, the 31st WUG (World University Games)，to be kicked off on August 18 in Chengdu, Sichuan, enters its 200 days countdown. 

Forty-nine training venues for the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games have completed their construction by April, 2020. Chengdu has invested 18 billion CNY in building sports facilities during the recent three years. Spectacular Chengdu Dong'an Lake Sports Park has finished construction, presenting the overall architectural form of "one stadium with three gyms". At present, the builders are making final preparations for the venue's commissioning test.

The World University Games Village, which started to construct in August 2019, is programmed for completion within two years. As the residence of delegation members during the World University Games, the World University Games Village provides the international education exchange center, administrative support center, life service center, athletes apartment, swimming pool, and other facilities.
