AG600, the world’s largest amphibious aircraft, had its maiden trial flight on December 24.
As China's home-grown amphibious aircraft, AG600 can be used for forest firefighting, emergency rescue, marine surveillance and so on.
The AG600's navigation and communication systems are provided by Chengdu-based China Electronics Technology Corporation (CETC).
CETC undertakes designing such equipment as distance measure equipment (DME), very high frequency omni-directional range (VOR) and instrument landing system (ILS), etc.
In addition, CETC is responsible for the AG600's communication system, including those of aircraft-to-aircraft, aircraft-to-controller and different parts of the aircraft, etc.
