A large-scale furniture trading center will be built in Xindu District in northern Chengdu, according to an agreement sealed by China Furniture & Decoration Chamber of Commerce, the governments of Chengdu and Xindu Districts and Heung Kong Southern, a subsidiary of Heung Kong Group. Construction of the trading center has been underway.

The center will occupy an area of 6 million sqm and serve as a multi-functional facility

for purchasing and exhibition, with a capacity to accommodate about 3, 000 companies.

The center is located close to Chengdu Furniture Industrial Park in Xindu District, which has emerged as the main furniture producing site in the city.
